The logo of the EDCRI encapsulates the main issue of the EDC and primary reason this initiative has been started. Inspired by the logo of the actual EDC, the ‘swoosh’ from the agency’s original logo has been flip upside-down for the logo of the EDCRI and a dollar sign has been placed above it and a Canadian maple leaf below it. This is meant to be seen as a fraction and the arrangement of symbols (one on top of the other) is meant to symbolize what the EDC truly values; dollars over Canada. The ‘RI,’ which stands from Regulation Initiative, has been coloured in red, the same colour as the Canadian maple leaf, as to assert the fact that this regulation initiative is for Canada – a tie is signified by the colouring.
